Fort Aguada: This Fort holds historical significance as it was built by the Portuguese rulers in 1612, as a guard against the Dutch and Maratha invaders. It is well preserved and gives a stunning view of the Arabian Sea from its top, as it is situated right on the shore of the sea.Aguada lighthouse: Another well-preserved heritage sight in North Goa is the Aguada Lighthouse, situated on Sinquerim Beach. It stands alongside Aguada Fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. It is considered one of the first and oldest lighthouses in Asia.Saligaon church: It is one of the most peaceful and serene villages in North Goa. This small village with a mere population of 5000 people is open to all tourist places with friendly villagers. The main attraction here is the 125 years of old parish church, ‘Mae de Deus’. Its Gothic architecture is a picture to behold.Vagator beach: It is a hotspot for rave parties that mostly host the western backpackers. In it’s South, is Anjuna Beach, but here the atmosphere is more laid back and relaxed. Other attractions include the 500 years old Portuguese Fort of Chapora.Anjuna beach: Anjuna is a famous village situated on the northern coast of Goa. The beach is famous for its hippie culture. Anjuna is also famous for its trance parties. It is an amazingly beautiful place that offers a picturesque scene. Anjuna flea market also attracts tourist from all over the world.Chauranginath Temple: It is one of those rare temples once can spot in North GoaMorjim Beach: Morjim is another town in Goa. Unlike other beaches, it is situated on the northern bank of Chapora River. It is considered a quiet and reclusive place, mainly for relaxation and rejuvenation. It is famous for being the habitat of Olive Ridley Sea turtles. There are strict laws for the protection of endangered turtles, so make sure you don't offend the local law. It is also called ‘Little Russia’ because of the intense pouring in of Russian immigrants.Baga Beach: Baga beach is a seaside town in Goa and is also one of the most popular beaches in northern Goa. It is also known for its Baga Creek. It comes under the district of Calangute. The Baga beach is also famous for water sports such as parasailing, and banana cruises. One can also spot Dolphins during their time in the sea.Snow Park: It is an indoor snow theme park. There are snow sliding and other fun games available. Man-made snow makes it fun for tourists to enjoy. It's also a kids’ favorite spot.
